Bonus 7 — The 15-Minute Demo-to-Deal Closing Script

The exact word-for-word script to present your demo site on a call, handle every objection, and walk away with a paying client — in 15 minutes or less.

How to use this: Print this page or have it open in a second window during your demo calls. Follow the 4 phases in order. Don't improvise until you've run it the same way 5+ times.
Phase 1

Open + Set The Frame

⏱ ~2 minutes

Goal: build a little trust, set the agenda so they know exactly what's coming.

"Hey [name], thanks for hopping on. Quick question first — how's your day going? (let them answer, 30 sec)

Cool. So here's what I'd like to do today, should take us about 15 minutes. I'll ask 3 quick questions about your business, then I'll share my screen and show you a website mockup I built specifically for [business name]. Last few minutes we'll cover pricing and what next steps look like. Sound good?"

📝 Two things this does: tells them you've done homework ("mockup built specifically for [business name]"), and locks in a 15-minute frame so they don't worry you'll keep them for an hour.

Phase 2

Discover — 3 Quick Questions

⏱ ~3 minutes

Goal: surface their actual pain so the demo lands harder.

Q1 — "Walk me through how someone usually finds you online today — what's the path? Google? Word of mouth?"
Q2 — "What's the #1 thing you wish your current website did better? Or — if you don't have one — what's the #1 reason you've held off?"
Q3 — "If we got started in the next week, would that work for you, or are you thinking more 2-3 months out?"

📝 Take notes on their answers — you'll reference them in Phase 3 and 4.

Phase 3

Demo + Price Reveal

⏱ ~7 minutes

Goal: show them their own site, drop the price clearly.

"Okay so based on what you told me, I built this mockup of what your new site could look like. Let me walk you through it real quick…

(screen share — walk through hero / services / contact / mobile preview, referencing their Phase 2 answers along the way)

What's your gut reaction?"

📝 Let them respond. 30 seconds of silence is fine. Then go to price.

"So here's what the engagement looks like. Full build is $1,500 — includes everything you just saw, plus 2 rounds of revisions, mobile-responsive, hooked to your domain. Timeline is 5 business days from the day you say go.

Today the decision is just: are we doing the build?"

📝 State the price once, confidently. Then SHUT UP. Whatever you do, don't fill the silence. If you talk first, you lose the negotiation. Most clients say yes within 30 seconds.

Phase 4

Close OR Handle The Top 3 Objections

⏱ ~3 minutes

Goal: close on the call. Don't let them "go think about it."

If they say YES → "Great. I'll send you the invoice for $1,500 right now. Pay it — takes 2 minutes — and I start the build today. First draft to you in 3 business days. Sound good?"

If they raise an objection — these 3 cover ~80% of what you'll hear:

"I need to think about it" → "Totally fair. What specifically do you need to think about? Maybe I can answer it right now."

(If they have a real concern → handle it. If they say "I don't know, just everything" → soft no. Schedule a follow-up for 48 hours from now.)
"It's too expensive" → "I hear you. Worth knowing what you compared to — were you expecting $500? $1,000? Different ballpark?"

(If they expected $1,000 → "The reason I'm at $1,500 is [list 3 things]. Worth it?". If they expected $500 → "At $500 you'd get a template-based site. That's a different product. If that's the budget, I'm not the right fit — happy to recommend someone.")
"I need to talk to my partner / accountant" → "Makes sense. Who else is in the decision? I'll send a 1-page summary you can share. Let's grab another 15 minutes Wednesday to lock it in — Wednesday at 10 or 2 work better?"

(KEY: schedule the next call NOW, on this call. If you leave it as "I'll email you," you'll lose them.)
